Pierre-Laurent Wetli is a partner in Bain & Company's Moscow office. He is an expert in Bain's Consumer Products and Retail practices.

He has nearly 20 years of management consulting experience with Bain. 

Pierre-Laurent's primary focus is in consumer goods and retail consulting. He advises consumer goods clients across a range of sectors, including beer, cosmetics, confectionery, coffee, dairy, frozen food, spirits and baby food. He holds expertise in a wide range of topics, including category and country portfolio strategy, brand portfolio strategy, pricing and promotion strategy, route-to-market strategy, sales force re-organization and organization effectiveness. His experience in retail covers both grocery and non-food retail, focused in the key challenges retailers face in Russia and globally, such as positioning, category management, pricing and promotions, store expansion planning, acquisition screening, organization, e-commerce and loyalty.

Pierre-Laurent has also advised many investors for potential acquisitions in Russia. He has managed multiple commercial due diligences in retail and consumer goods, as well as construction materials, agriculture, furniture products, transportation and consumer payments.

Pierre-Laurent received a MS degree in Industrial Management and Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich). He is a native French speaker and also speaks English, German, Russian and Spanish.
