Bill Hayes is an advisory partner with Bain & Company and co-founder of the Bain Atlanta office, focused on corporate growth strategy and operations improvement.
He joined Bain in 1984 and has been responsible for managing numerous client engagements in North America, Europe and Latin America.

Bill leads engagements relating to corporate and business unit expansion from organic initiatives, acquisitions and mergers, joint ventures and marketing alliances. He works with clients across a range of industries, including broadcast equipment and software, business applications software, telecommunication services, passenger cruises, consumer electronics and industrial materials, to address topics related to growth.
Bill has focused on helping clients in two primary areas:
- Achieving sustained, profitable top-line growth
- Driving operations to the lowest possible systems costs through process redesign, re-engineering, product and service complexity reduction and outsourcing
Over the last several years, he has directed significant performance improvement initiatives in the financial services and insurance sectors, as well as global electronics manufacturing and consumer durables.
He has also helped direct the strategic planning process at numerous Fortune 500 clients.
Bill is an honors graduate of Harvard College and has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
