Share your journey to Bain.

Hi, I'm Antonio, Im part of Innovation and Design team.

Originally from Naples, I graduated in Rome and started my career in Milan in a Telco company as COO program manager. After a couple of years, I realized that corporate life was not what matched my desire for "discovery." I was looking for a job that would help me broaden my horizons and allow me to face different challenges in different contexts, adding a piece of me in each problem solving. That's why I joined a large consulting firm where I had the opportunity to delve into innovation strategy topics across multiple industries. When Bain decided to launch its own team of innovation experts, well, it was love at first sight.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

From my first interaction with Bain, I had one certainty right away - the job wasn't about a role, it was about a journey for both me and the team I was joining!

Sometimes we discuss new positions, and then we talk about roles and tasks. When I started my interviews at Bain, we were both on the same page, talking about a journey that I would have to set about my personal and professional ambitions. I strongly chose a consulting job because of the ability to set direction based on what you learn as you navigate, and Bain really appreciates my philosophy! Beyond that, the company motto "one Bainie never lets another Bainie fail" is a tangible approach among all the colleagues I've met so far.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

What differentiates Bain from other consulting firms is case selection. Before we get into a new case with a client, Bain takes time to assess whether we can bring significant value to the work we're about to do and, beyond that, whether the type of work is aligned with our corporate mission. That's definitely one of the things that makes me think that what I'm doing is not only driven by a market need, but also by a strategic path that all of us Bainies together are charting.

As a new joiner I've been very lucky because I've been involved in so many cases and proposals from the very early days. The latest one I'm following is about the launch of a disruptive concept company in the food and beverage industry. Nothing can be more exciting than that!

If you ask me "what is the case you enjoyed the most?" my answer is "the last one.” My hope is that this enthusiasm and curiosity will accompany me every day as they are doing now!
