Courtney della Cava is an Expert Vice President based in Bain & Company's San Francisco office and leads the Global Bain Executive Network. In her role, she works closely with the firm's client organizations and senior executives on leadership, talent solutions and career development. She also leads a number of the firm's human capital initiatives.
Courtney joined Bain & Company in 1996 as a member of the firm's Consumer Products practice, where she led consulting engagements in the US and Europe. Her functional expertise includes corporate and business unit strategy, M&A, customer segmentation/loyalty, process improvement and organization.
Courtney also has extensive experience outside Bain including serving as a Partner and Managing Director of Russell Reynolds Associates, a global executive search and talent assessment firm; European Marketing Director (strategic leadership of a portfolio of confectionery products) for M&M Mars and Chief Marketing Officer for Zinio, a distribution service for digital magazines. Earlier, Courtney held product development and marketing roles with Toyota/Lexus and began her career at WPP/Hill and Knowlton, where she worked with clients such as The Procter & Gamble Company, PepsiCo and Mazda.
Courtney earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Dean's Award of Excellence and received a Ford Fellowship scholarship to study at Keio Business School in Tokyo. She is also a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, magna cum laude. Courtney is also certified in psychometric assessment.
