Pearl Chen has more than two decades of business development and partnership experiences with high-tech companies.  Most recently, as the head of global business development at Amazon Web Services, Pearl led the worldwide expansion of AWS’s fastest-growing database service through strategic global partners. 

Prior to that, she was a founding leader of GE Digital and served as the organization's vice president of global ecosystem and channels. In this capacity, she built the partner ecosystem from the ground up and was the first to open GE Digital’s presence in key international markets. A passionate mentor, Pearl was also actively involved in GE’s Women’s Network and served on national academic and civic advisory committees.  

Before GE, Pearl spent eight years leading new business and corporate development at SAP. She also managed key strategic alliances at Siebel and held finance and product marketing roles at HP.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business.
