Reuben Chaudhury

Reuben Chaudhury is a member of our Communications, Media and Entertainment practice.

Reuben has 25+ years of global experience in the telecommunications industry and in consulting. He specializes in working with management teams of some of the largest telecom providers (25+ Telcos) on their digital transformation and innovation agenda.

Over the course of his career, he has led 10+ transformations including delivering on $10Bn in improved margins for a global telecom provider. He also served as the interim COO+CTrO with responsibility for the transformation of a leading wireless Telco. Futhermore, he enabled the pivot of a hardware centric network technology challenger to a market leader with $140Bn in cloud/AI, technology and consumer electronics revenues.

Prior to joining Bain, Reuben was the practice leader for the telecommunications, media and technology practice for another consulting firm, and held various executive roles in the technology sector.

He is a recognized thought leader - frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Times of India, China Business Review. He is also the co-author of Rethinking Personal Data (in collaboration with the World Economic Forum) and the Accelerating the Digital Economy: Gender Diversity in the Telecommunications study, in collaboration with the Clinton Global Initiative.

Reuben has served as an advisor for UNDP programs (e.g. ECOWAS market development program) and is passionate about building social entrepreneurship programs in sub Saharan Africa, where he has worked with local organizations in Ghana and Malawi, and has advised impact funds like the Acumen Fund invest in women's economic development.

Reuben has broad global experience, having lived and worked in India, Mexico, Argentina, HK/China, North America and Ghana.

He has a Masters in Artificial Intelligence/ Neural Networks, and an MBA in International Business. He was part of a team that holds patents for optical storage and networking, and is the author of over fifty technical and business publications.
