Serge Hoffmann is a partner in Bain & Company's Munich office. He is a leader in Bain's Retail practice and an expert in the firm's Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practices, as well as an active contributor to the Digital practice.
Serge has more than 15 years of management consulting experience, in addition to seven years of prior industry experience. He advises leaders in the grocery, specialty and luxury retail industries on their most pressing strategic issues.
Serge joined Bain's Paris office in September 2000 and transferred to Asia in 2008, where he led Bain's APAC Retail practice before transferring to Munich in 2015. He has led various assignments covering a continuum of business issues from CEO level to line management in the retail and TMT sectors, including numerous e-commerce related projects.
In addition to his client work, Serge has authored Bain IP and publications covering a range of topics, including grocery retail and e-commerce. He has also co-authored several editions of Bain's China Luxury Market Study. He has participated in numerous media forums and TV segments on Bloomberg and CNBC.
Serge earned an MBA from INSEAD. He is a native French and German speaker, as well as a fluent English speaker.
