Toshihiko has nearly 30 years of management consulting experience in a wide range of industries. He serves clients across various consumer goods and retail sectors, such as food and beverages, apparel, luxury goods and restaurants, as well as in the pharmaceutical, private equity, real estate and automotive industries.
Toshihiko holds deep expertise in mergers & acquisitions and has developed M&A strategies for companies in multiple sectors, including food and pharmaceuticals. He has also led multiple turnaround projects in the financial, automotive and private equity sectors. In addition, he helps portfolio companies in a variety of industries develop 100-day plans and blueprints.
Toshihiko has held leadership roles in the key practice areas throughout his tenure at Bain, and is currently the head of M&A practice at Bain Tokyo.
Prior to joining Bain in 1986, he worked for the Industrial Bank of Japan, the leading long-term credit bank in Japan.
He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts. He also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
