About Bain

Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity & Inclusion

At Bain, we achieve excellence through diversity and inclusion. We've found that the best solution to a complex problem often comes from a different perspective or a fresh point of view.

Diversity is key to our mission of building extraordinary teams that deliver unparalleled results for our firm and our clients. We strive to recruit people with exceptional talent and ability—and to celebrate their differences. We develop and train them, and then give them the opportunity to be the best they can be. We're committed to making Bain a place where everyone has the potential to succeed.

We hold an annual summit for our BABS and LATBA affinity groups. Check out some highlights from the 2019 summit in Atlanta.

Affinity Groups

Affinity Groups

Bain affinity groups are active networks that underscore our inclusive work environment, offering their members additional levels of connection via coaching, mentoring and professional development. These networks include members from both Bain and the Bridgespan Group, our sister nonprofit consulting organization.

Blacks at Bain (BABs) became a formal organization more than 20 years ago, after existing informally for years. BABs is primarily focused in North America, but it also includes offices in Europe and Asia.

We believe not only in leading a professionally rewarding career, but also in having enriching life experiences along the way.

Asians at Bain (AAB) is an organization of Bain professionals with Asian and Asian American roots. AAB's mission is to create a tightknit community that provides the support, resources, and mentorship required to help our Asian professionals thrive at Bain.  AAB membership includes professionals across all levels of Bain's North American offices.

Latinos at Bain (LATBA) is an organization of Bain professionals with Hispanic and Latin American roots or interests. LATBA's vision: to make Bain the best career choice for Latino business talent.

LATBA membership includes professionals across all levels of Bain's North American offices.

The mission of BGLAD – The GLBTQ Network at Bain & Bridgespan is to support the recruitment and retention of top GLBTQ talent at Bain.

BGLAD provides a strong and unified diversity message throughout the recruiting process, an open communications channel with Bain leadership to advise them on GLBTQ policies and ensure an inclusive work environment, and overall awareness of GLBTQ issues across our global organization.

Women at Bain (WAB) leads global initiatives to enable our women to thrive, as part of an overall mission to make Bain the best place for female business talent globally. We are focused on creating an inclusive culture and promoting programs and policies to achieve this mission.

WAB ensures women are equipped to achieve their full potential here and emerge as leaders—thought leaders, inspirational leaders and firm leaders—through our local WAB networks as well as through global efforts, managed by the Global Women's Leadership Council.

Veterans at Bain (VABs) is a formal organization of Bain professionals with military service backgrounds.

Our objectives are to attract, develop and retain the world's top veteran business talent, provide tailored support and resources for professional success, facilitate knowledge and experience sharing, foster mentoring relationships and build upon a strong sense of camaraderie.
