Sumit Narayanan

Sumit Narayanan is a member of our Financial Services practice. He primarily advises insurance clients on topics including corporate and business unit strategy, operating model, product development, distribution and change management.

Prior to joining Bain, Sumit worked as a partner for a global professional services firm. While there, he served as Insurance and Actuarial Practice Leader, as well as Financial Services Data & Analytics Leader, for the firm’s presence in Southeast Asia.

His recent experience includes leading a health claims transformation program for a leading insurer in Asia and a helping a bank turn around its bancassurance operations to gain a market leading position in Singapore.

Sumit also has extensive experience in M&A and due diligence in the insurance industry across most markets in Asia-Pacific.

He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. He also holds an MSc in finance and economics from the London School of Economics.
