The Young Global Leader honor is bestowed by the World Economic Forum each year to recognize the most distinguished leaders under the age of 38, who are shaking up policy, society and the world around them.
Nominated from around the world, the young leaders are assessed according to rigorous selection criteria and have demonstrated their commitment to serving society. The Forum of YGLs works closely with the World Economic Forum to integrate young leaders into deep interaction with other stakeholders of global society.
Anne-Laure Malauzat is a partner with Bain & Company in Dubai and, since May 2022, a Young Global Leader selected by the World Economic Forum. She is the firm’s regional Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) officer, and leads Bain’s Middle East Social Impact efforts. Anne joined the firm in 2011 and, in 2020, became the youngest female Bain partner globally.
Anne advises governments, philanthropists, and international organizations (such as UNHCR and Endeavor), focusing on education, economic development, and innovation. She has led the launch of multiple successful youth employment programmes in 5 MENA countries, and the design of the national Early Childhood Development strategy for a GCC country. She also works with private sector leaders in the retail space, supporting them in their growth, digitalization, and customer strategies. In addition, for the last decade she has served as mentor to start-ups and is a frequent speaker on topics related to gender equity, social impact, human capital development, retail, and innovation.
Luiza Mattos is a partner with Bain & Company in São Paulo. As the Leader of the Healthcare practice in South America, she is passionate about developing strategies to deliver quality healthcare solutions under rationalized costs and being a catalyst for a more sustainable system. She has deep expertise in payers, primary care and hospital providers, as well as healthcare ecosystems, authoring points-of-view on how to advance the Brazilian healthcare system. She supports clients to develop deep understanding of their customer’s journeys, in order to deliver unique customer experiences, based on omnichannel approaches, state-of-the art technology and robust metrics. She is an enthusiast of transformations using Agile and Human-Centric co-creation approaches, as Design Thinking.
As a Womxn at Bain Champion in South America, she dedicates time to promoting gender parity and developing young female leadership, within Bain as well as in the corporate world, by building studies on how to promote more women in leadership positions. Luiza holds a Master's in Management focused on Information Businesses (Coppead Management School, Brazil), and a MBA with major in Finance, Operations and Marketing (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA). She graduated in Electronic & Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Weiwei Xing is a partner at Bain & Company and, since March 2020, a Young Global Leader selected by the World Economic Forum. Based in Hong Kong, she is a leader in Bain’s Asia consumer products, retail and performance improvement practices, with a particular focus on Greater China. She joined Bain as a summer associate in 2010 and was promoted to partner in 2019. Driven by a strong sense of purpose tied to tangible results, Weiwei has always prioritized time for her social contributions in Hong Kong, China and US-based NGOs on topics ranging from operational improvements, strategic planning and financial improvement projects, to developing fundraising strategy.
Prior to Bain she worked 5 years at IBM in the US and in London, as a senior consultant. She holds a BA of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics, Cum Laude, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Dean’s Honors List: Finance, Economics and International Business). She is also a certified yoga teacher.
Lucy d'Arville is a partner with Bain & Company in Sydney and a Young Global Leader since 2019. She joined Bain in 2005 in Sydney and returned in 2012 broadening her general management expertise for four years at Achilles Group in London. She joined Achilles in a strategy role; then was Director of Carbon Reduction Services, starting a new business to measure and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of suppliers; and finally was Global Sector Director FMCG–establishing a global supplier prequalification system for 100,000+ suppliers. She now leads Bain Australia's Healthcare practice and is a core member of Bain's APAC Financial Services and Performance Improvement practices. Lucy has been active in social engagement from a young age and is recognized for her inspirational leadership and commitment to investing in people at Bain. She has significantly contributed to combating disadvantage through local organizations such as OzHarvest, and Restacking the Odds, and her leadership of Bain's Social Impact program.
