Tracy Thurkow leads our Global Center for Culture and Behavior Change in the People and Organization practice.
Tracy specializes in organizational transformations, with a pragmatic approach to orchestrating change and aligning executive teams. Her experience includes: global operating model transformations; functional transformations; and post-merger and post-divestiture organizational effectiveness. She leads Bain’s point of view on operating model implementation, known as “Live the Model.”
She has experience in private and publicly held global 1,000 companies across industries including energy, financial services, consumer goods, retail, and others.
Tracy is a thought leader on the topic “Organizations don’t change behavior, people do” speaking and publishing on the topics of culture change and modern applications of behavioral science. She has been published in numerous periodicals and contributed to the books The Behavior Breakthrough and Preparing CEOs for Success: What I Wish I Knew.
Prior to joining us, she worked for a boutique consulting firm, where she held firm-wide leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer and Practice Area Leader in Transformational Change.
Tracy currently serves as an Advisory Board member and student mentor for the Center for Principled Leadership and Business Strategy at Haworth College of Business.
Tracy holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
