Just a few years ago, many executives saw the energy and resource transition as a set of challenges that could compromise long-term strategic planning. Today, most teams we work with have moved from thinking to taking concrete action—and working the transition into their strategic plans. Four out of five say that having a net-zero commitment is critical, and almost all executives expect their industry to make progress in that direction by 2030. About half expect their companies to change significantly over the next 10 years, up from a third that thought so two years ago.
