Wren Kabir is a member of our Energy and Natural Resources, Strategy, and Performance Improvement practices. He joined Bain in 2006, starting in San Francisco before transferring to New York, Houston, the Nordics, the Middle East and South Africa, and now returning back home to Houston.
Since joining Bain, Wren has gained exposure to a number of industries, with a primary focus in energy and natural resources, private equity, and industrials. His work has spanned several practice areas, including ESG (with a focus on market development for sustainable solutions), performance improvement, large scale transformations, organizational redesign, and commercial due diligence.
Wren’s recent case work focused on renewable fuels and plastics for a large European energy player. His team developed an approach to accelerate market development for sustainable solutions, including the coordination of partners across the value chain as well as go-to-market strategies. In addition, his teams stewarded a major cost transformation for one of Africa's largest integrated energy companies, with focus on performance improvement savings from external spend, labor productivity, and capital projects.
Prior to joining Bain, Wren worked as an investment banking analyst in the Technology & Telecom practice of UBS Investment Bank in San Francisco, working on equity recapitalizations and M&A.
Wren received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business with a major in multinational management. Prior to that, he earned his BA and BS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania as a Jerome Fischer Management & Technology scholar.
At Bain, Wren is actively involved in recruiting, training, and the Bain Band. Outside of Bain, Wren pursues interests in travel, watches, NBA basketball, and songwriting.
