Taming organizational complexity

Organizational complexity hinders performance of large companies, and executives around the world are becoming increasingly preoccupied with the challenges complexity brings. Torsten Lichtenau, a partner in Bain & Company's London office, says acknowledging that complexity is even an issue is the first step to fixing the problem. "Often people don't realise they have a complexity issue. They think they have a cost issue," he says. "Often they confuse complexity with cost."
