Bruce Miller is a member of our Private Equity and Technology practices.
Bruce leverages more than 40 years of experience in software engineering, corporate strategy, and intellectual property by helping software companies optimize their architecture and R&D processing, as well as identifying the most important areas to patent. He most recently served as a director for Tech Economy, where he provided expert technical expertise on diligence and strategy engagements in support of the firm’s strategy consulting practice.
Bruce has developed extensive experience as a technical leader of both small and large companies, assisting with the design, architecture, and development of complex software and hardware products. He has established his expertise in strategy, innovation, marketing, product architecture, and development processes.
He has experience working with companies in a large range of tech sectors, including data center infrastructure, SaaS, mobile infrastructure, telecommunications, data communications, security, virtualization, intellectual property, and medical devices.
Earlier in his career, Bruce served as CTO and VP of Engineering for Force10 Networks (later sold to Dell) and founded Astral Point Communications (later sold to Alcatel). As a CTO, Bruce acquired and integrated several companies, participated in standards initiatives (IEEE 802.3), and served on several boards.
Bruce holds a B.S. and M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering, as well as an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
