WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a member of the Texas AC Recruiting team, the Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for partnering in the strategic development, planning and execution of all local recruiting efforts for Associate Consultants and Associate Consultant Interns, as well as other undergraduate internship programs, on core college/university campuses on an annual basis. The Recruiting Specialist will also contribute to the strategic design, development and management of all Texas recruiting programs, including but not limited to: offeree weekends, in-office Austin events, and early outreach efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the coordination and execute the administration of on-campus recruiting programs for Associate Consultants and Associate Consultant Interns, and other internship/externship programs across various core schools. Create, manage, and lead the recruiting plan and recruiting activities for the general Bain process on those campuses.
- Support the creation of marketing strategies on core school campuses. Coordinate school team members, schedule formal and informal presentations, career fairs, receptions and dinners.
- Establish and maintain relationships with career services at target schools and develop relationships with competitor counterparts as necessary.
- Coordinate the administration of the on-campus and in-office recruiting efforts at targeted undergraduate schools. On-campus responsibilities include attending marketing events, greeting students, scheduling first and second round interviews, leading debrief sessions and recording important candidate information, year-end review and analysis of seasonal recruiting efforts.
- Manage candidate selection process. Support execution of resume screening process with school teams. Manage the set-up of interview schedules, manage the interview day, run debriefing meetings, determine next step decisions and manage the communication of dispositions to candidates.
- For interview days, facilitate all administrative responsibilities (logistics, travel, etc.), greet students, answer questions, and act as liaison for candidates being interviewed. Serve as Bain representative delivering candidate’s statuses in recruiting process, and deliver feedback to recruits as appropriate.
- Manage all day-to-day interactions with school team leader. Plan meeting agendas and content for school team meetings. Act as main point of contact for Bain alumni on campus.
- Evaluate success of recruiting season at target schools; prepare and analyze statistics on overall yield, school success, etc. Use findings to provide input to recruiting programs and strategy.
- Support management of annual school recruiting budget. Track expenses and flag issues. Conduct special budget projects as needed.
- Support recruiting initiatives and projects led by recruiting leadership either as a member of a working team or as the lead on specific projects/initiatives.
- Manage planning and execution of all Offeree Weekends (AC, ACI) including being present for all events throughout the weekends and ensuring team members work in tandem with budgets and schedules. Organize the logistics for and attend all events, interact with students, and ensure all offeree activities run smoothly.
- Help execute local office’s internship and early identification programs. Provide input and executionary support across program development, execution of on-campus and in-office interviews, input into program managers, training/social calendars, budgets, etc. Serve as onsite representative for events held in Austin office.
- Work closely with the local office recruiting leadership to support the development of the annual recruiting strategy for Bain’s Texas offices. Recommend changes to tactics and provide input on year-to-year strategic approach.
- Utilize Avature system for recruits, event and data management. Develop extensive facility with Avature and its functions, and become a resource for other recruiters.
- Serve as primary recruiting presence in Austin office. Serve as onsite coordinator for events and interviews, building office-specific marketing materials, connecting with general consulting and Functional professional staff, etc.
- Support as needed across Texas recruiting team for recruiting events, in-office interviews, in-office school treks and events, offeree weekends, internship/early identification programs across full Texas recruiting efforts (undergrad and graduate).
ABOUT YOU
- BA/BS degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of campus recruiting experience for a consulting or other professional services firm is strongly preferred; 3 years comparable experience in another field considered
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), project and people management skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to deal appropriately with highly-confidential information in a professional/mature manner; ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to represent Bain to prospective candidates and interact with senior Bain management and school contacts
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills – ability to manage multiple priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently, as well as within teams
- PC experience - proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
This role follows a hybrid model requiring in-office presence 2–3 days per week.
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Austin, TX, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $61,250 - $73,500. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
