Alessandro Di Cairano

Alessandro is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources practice, with specific focus on Energy & Utility players along the entire value chain and with reference to all markets (Power, Gas, Waste, Transportation, etc.) and customer segments. He has over 15 years of expertise in this industry. 

Over the years, Alessandro has developed strong expertise in Circular Economy and Sustainability issues, which add to his traditional backbone of strategy & business development and transformation & turnaround.

Some of his recent core case experience includes: The design of the group circular economy model for a leading worldwide energy player; An operations & maintenance transformation for a Major IOC with 300M€+ of saving opportunities identified; The design of the energy community offering on the Italian market for an international energy company (based on distributed PV assets); The set-up of a circular decommissioning strategy and approach for a leading O&G player.

Beyond his case work, Alessandro enjoys being involved in the organization of multiple social events for the office. The peak was when he was put in charge of organizing the Bain World Cup (BWC) 2019 in Rome - widely acknowledge as probably the most astonishing in the BWC's long history - which hosted 1,500 colleagues from all Bain Offices.

In his personal life, he is the father of a little one - L. - and a passionate collector of old wines.
