Share your journey to Bain.
I graduated with my JD/MBA from Wharton & Penn Law in 2019 before moving west to San Francisco to join the PE/M&A practice of law firm Kirkland & Ellis. After briefly practicing law, I decided to explore operating roles at early stage companies - I served as the Chief of Staff & VP of Business Development at Athelas (a Series B Healthtech backed by Sequoia & General Catalyst) before deciding to recruit for consulting and eventually join Bain SF.
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
I decided to join Bain for a few reasons. First, I was excited about the opportunity to learn from the best in our industry leading Private Equity Group and enjoyed my interactions with folks from various tenures during the recruiting process. Next, I'm a big fan of our local office structure which reduces unnecessary travel and allows our team members to build deep connections with colleagues through repeat work experiences. Finally, I was impressed by the commitment to worker sustainability while ensuring we always deliver the absolute best for our clients.
Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
There are many opportunities to perform impactful work at Bain, both directly on case work and through extra 10s. So far, I've enjoyed working with our growth equity clients to identify and evaluate successful investment targets. I have also enjoyed participating in recruiting and various other internal initiatives to ensure the best and brightest come to Bain and get the most out of their experience while working here.
