About Marc
Marc van der Vleugel is a leader in our Enterprise Technology practice and is an expert in the Financial Services practice.
Since joining Bain in 2011, Marc has worked globally across industries advising clients on shaping and accelerating transformation and improving efficiency. He has worked with large global international firms but also national firms, particularly within insurance, wealth management and banking.
Formerly the lead of our Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Enterprise Technology practice, Marc possesses deep expertise in IT strategy, IT outsourcing, IT full potential programs, and design and implementation of IT organization and governance structures. He also specializes in turnaround, transformation and post-merger integration (PMI).
Prior to joining Bain, he was a senior executive in the financial services sector of another global consulting firm.
Marc holds a Master of Economics from the University of Namur and teaches ‘Organization and decision’ for the last 10 years.
