POSITION SUMMARY

In this 10-month contractual role, the incumbent will provide HR Generalist support for the delivery of people initiatives for Bain’s Southeast Asia (SEA) Functional Professionals (FP) teams. In this role, you will be looked upon to build a positive environment and provide sound advice to the FP teams across a broad range of tasks across Recruitment, Onboarding/Onboarding, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Program Management and HR Administrative/Benefits Administration.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Talent Acquisition:

  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment support across all local FP positions – Agency vendor liaison, LinkedIn sourcing, candidate shortlisting, interview arrangements, documentation, on-boarding, induction
  • Work with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs for local FP roles – Initial resume screen, interview, manage reference and background checks, provide salary recommendations for new hires, considering internal equity & market competitiveness
  • Work with FP teams and Consulting case teams on temporary staffing needs and manage recruitment vendor contracts and relations
  • Engage in medium to long term headcount/capacity planning with functional managers


Onboarding / Offboarding:

  • Support and work closely with the Onboarding team for the onboarding of all FP employees to ensure effective integration and training
  • Coordinate departure process for all FP employees to ensure smooth transition – Prepare necessary documentation, communicate departure to appropriate stakeholders and perform HRIS entry


Performance Review:

  • Responsible for the annual performance calibration work stream end-to-end, including preparation of the calibration materials for the FP Leadership team and own the compensation planning cycle which includes salary benchmarking and compensation administration after the review cycle
  • Support the probation, performance, and talent management process, which includes the annual performance review and mid-year promotion cycles
  • Support and implement career development plans and apply BDPs from regional offices locally


Insurance & Benefits Program:

  • Support the annual insurance renewals/remarketing exercise with insurance broker
  • Review, assess and execute employee welfare and awards program
  • Respond to employee questions on benefits and resolve claims issues
  • Enter benefits data into HR system on a timely basis and prepare monthly payroll report


Employee Engagement:

  • Support and suggest levers to create a positive employee experience for FP teams
  • Track karma and upkeep talent dashboards within the local FP professionals to be shared during quarterly People Council meetings
  • Play a critical role in functional program design and development (e.g. FP Annual Summit, Forums, Mentor program etc.)
  • Champion of FP causes and best practices


HR Administration:

  • Maintain FP employees’ personnel files to ensure they are kept up to date with all relevant offer letters, contracts, and agreements
  • Maintain all FP employees’ information in HRIS
  • Leave system management for all FP employees
  • Co-ordinate with Finance to ensure smooth payroll delivery
  • Development of best in class HR playbook for repeatable processes 


Other duties:

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned/responsibilities dictate and as the business evolves, including but not limited to backup cover for other team members


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors’ Degree with minimum 5-7 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, high-touch and demanding work environment, preferably with some experience working within the Professional Services industry or within SEA (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand & Vietnam)
  • Working knowledge of Workday preferred
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong team player

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and degree of autonomy
  • Meticulous and detail-orientated
