Are you a PhD student or postdoc and curious about a career beyond academia? Join our virtual event designed for women from all fields of study and discover how you can apply your academic expertise in consulting.
Over two interactive days, you’ll build essential case skills, gain first-hand insights into Bain and the work as a consultant, and connect with inspiring women at Bain. During mock interviews, you’ll also have the chance to win one of three €5,000 scholarships and benefit from a fast track process for our full-time Consultant role.

How to apply for this program
This program is open to PhD students and postdocs (with up to two years of post-PhD experience) from all disciplines who identify as women. You should be interested in joining Bain in a German or Austrian office location. Whether your background is in science, engineering, humanities, or beyond – your perspective matters. Who can apply for the True North Scholarship?
Female PhD students and postdocs (with up to two years of post-PhD experience) from any field of study who are interested in joining Bain in a German or Austrian office location. You should have excellent grades and outstanding analytical skills.

What documents will Bain require from me?
Please submit your CV incl. grades, high school diploma, and university certificates. Please understand that we can only consider applications that are complete as described.

When can I expect a decision about my participation in the event?
You can expect to be notified at the end of May.

What language will be spoken at the event?
We are planning to host the event in German or English depending on the background of our participants.

Is it possible to attend only one day?
No, participation is required for the full duration of the event to get the most out of it.

How can I best prepare for the mock interviews?
Our tip: "Practice makes perfect." You should prepare yourself for structuring concepts, mental arithmetic, and business judgment. It is also worthwhile to take a look at the daily newspapers. You can find some case studies on our website. In addition, many applicants use training platforms such as squeaker.net, PrepLounge or Case Coach. We’ll also share additional resources with you ahead of the event.
