Akansha Arya

Akansha Arya is a member of our Private Equity and Healthcare and Life Sciences practices.

Since joining Bain in 2015, Akansha has supported clients on full potential and post‑acquisition strategies, mergers and acquisitions, launch excellence, and large‑scale transformations across diverse geographies. She brings deep sector expertise spanning pharmaceuticals, medtech and related services, private healthcare providers, animal health, and the NHS, advising both corporate and private‑equity stakeholders. She has also led numerous due‑diligence efforts for private‑equity funds across the EMEA region.

Akansha is also deeply engaged in social impact initiatives, having served as a school governor and trustee at a special‑needs college, a tutor for The Access Project, and a member of the Innovation Impact Investment Portfolio Advisory Group at Macmillan Cancer Support.

Prior to joining Bain, Akansha was a veterinary surgeon. She holds an MA in molecular and cellular pathology and a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MBA from London Business School and Columbia Business School.
