Mattias C. Karlsson is a member of our Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Healthcare & Life Sciences practices, with a strong focus on the medtech and industrials sectors.
He brings over 15 years of experience, including 14 years in strategy consulting and 3 years in industry as Vice President of Commercial Strategy at a global MedTech company. Mattias’s expertise includes corporate and commercial strategy, with deep capabilities in commercial excellence, particularly go-to-market design, pricing, salesforce effectiveness, and service transformation. He also advises clients on sustainability topics, emphasizing their intersections with commercial strategy.
Prior to joining Bain, Mattias was a partner at Nordic consultancy QVARTZ, playing a key role in integrating the firm with Bain in early 2020.
He holds an MSc in corporate and financial management from Lund University and completed part of his studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
