Maja Omanovic

Maja Omanovic is a member of our Advanced Manufacturing & Services, Performance Improvement, and Advanced Analytics practices.

Maja has extensive experience working with industrial clients across a range of topics, including leading enterprise-wide transformations to drive growth, optimize operations, and enhance digital capabilities. She has also led several complex, large-scale merger integrations, playing a key role in setting up and managing the Integration Management Office (IMO) to achieve both cost and revenue synergies, often requiring operating model redesign and thoughtful stakeholder engagement. Recently, with the growing importance of Generative AI, Maja has been advising clients on AI/Gen AI strategy, prioritizing use cases, and realizing financial value.

Prior to joining Bain, Maja worked as a Senior Software Engineer at a utilities company and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, focusing on machine learning and computer vision.

Maja holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a dual B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Syracuse University, where she also played on the women's basketball team. Originally from Bosnia, Maja now lives in Texas with her husband and two sons.
