Rakesh Mehrotra

Rakesh Mehrotra is a member of our Technology practice.

He specializes in advising product, technology, and engineering organizations on product strategy and business and operating model transformation. He is also one of our top experts on software, semiconductor, and cloud technologies. Rakesh has helped develop growth and turnaround strategies for high‑tech companies and partnered extensively with technology firms and private equity clients on mergers and acquisitions, business model transformation, cost takeout, and engineering productivity enhancements. He has also supported multiple due diligences in the cybersecurity space. 

Prior to joining Bain, he was a partner in the technology practice of another leading consulting firm.  He also held global leadership roles at Intel, where he led strategy, product management, and product operations for the $12B Datacenter and AI Group, including serving as general manager for the CPU (Xeon) and accelerator (GPU) businesses. In addition to client work, he is actively involved in our Asians at Bain affinity group.

He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Southern California, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
