Sydney – 27 April 2010 – Bain & Company announced today that Olaf Schatteman has joined the firm as a partner, effective 2nd March, 2020. His appointment was announced by Bain & Company’s Asia Pacific Managing Partner Satish Shankar. Mr. Schatteman will be based in the firms Sydney office.

In his new role, Mr. Schatteman will be responsible for supporting the firms’ international clients with their performance improvement programs, helping them architect more effective and efficient operations to deliver better customer experiences, whilst improving environmental and societal impact, especially in the areas of digital supply chain strategy, service management, operations management, sourcing and procurement.

Most recently, Mr. Schatteman was MD for another global consulting firm in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. He also previously worked for Portland Group in Australia, as well as Philips and Accenture in Europe. With over 20 years of operations experience, Mr. Schatteman is a recognised thought leader and has published numerous articles and contributed to several industry standard supply chain management reference books.
Mr. Schatteman has a master’s degree in business economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and from the University of Seville, Spain.
