Dubai, UAE - Mario Mateiro has been with the global strategy consulting firm since 2010, when he joined its Madrid office. A globetrotter – Mateiro has since spent significant time in Bain’s San Francisco, Sydney and London offices, and now is based out of Dubai.
He is a core member of Bain & Company’s Advanced Manufacturing and Performance Improvement practices, advising clients on topics ranging from corporate strategy to balance sheet restructuring and cost optimisation. Over the last five years, Mateiro has led several end to end transformation programs in North America, Europe and the Middle East, delivering combined ‘bottom-line’ benefits of over $750 million per annum.
Earlier in his career, Mateiro was a member of Bain’s Private Equity group where he delivered commercial due diligences to corporates and private equity clients, and led subsequent post-acquisition work.
Mateiro grew up in Portugal, where he obtained a Bachelor in Management from Nova School of Business & Economics in Lisbon. He also holds an MBA with a major in finance from the Kellogg School of Management.
Serge Eid is a core member of Bain’s Public Sector practice with over ten years of experience advising clients across Middle Eastern markets. He specialises in socioeconomic development and has worked with governments on topics related to national and regional development, wellbeing agendas, and human capital development.
Eid also has broad experience serving clients in the area of social investment, energy, real estate and infrastructure. A Lebanese national, Eid graduated from the American University of Beirut (Bachelor degree) and subsequently gained a Master’s degree in engineering from MIT, and an MBA from London Business School.
