Alex Martynov

Alex Martynov is a member of our Enterprise Technology, Technology & Cloud Services, and Cloud Computing practices. He has over 20 years of experience in technology, strategy consulting, and product design & development, advising clients throughout Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and APAC.

Alex advises clients across a range of industries, including technology, financial services, energy, and industrial goods & services.  He has deep expertise in full potential technology and cloud transformations, including technology architecture, Agile/DevOps ways of working, and operating model design. He also helps his technology clients with corporate strategy, software company operating model transformations, and go-to-market strategies.

Prior to joining Bain, Alex spent a number of years working for Amazon, helping to launch Amazon Web Services and building one of the early cloud services. He holds several patents in the area of cloud computing and actively participates in industry events. He also has extensive experience running complex ERP implementations prior to Amazon while working for PeopleSoft across multiple geographies.

He earned an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
