Sebastiaan Michiels

Sebastiaan Michiels is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources, Private Equity, and Strategy practices.

He has worked across a broad range of industrial sectors, advising both corporate and private equity clients. He focuses on helping clients create value across their business portfolio, both organically and through M&A.

Sebastiaan has deep expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, post-acquisition value creation, and M&A (including strategy, screening, and commercial and operational due diligence). He also has experience in performance transformation and operating model transformation.

Beyond his client work, Sebastiaan is a leader of the (Senior) Associate Consultant class in Bain's Brussels office and is active in the broader talent agenda.

He holds a Master of Science in Business Engineering from Solvay Business School (summa cum laude, Prize of Excellence). Outside of Bain, he has published work on behavioral economics and is a passionate classical pianist.
