ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutions across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence, and Bain intellectual property.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
This is an opportunity to be a part of Bain’s Energy and Natural Resources (ENR CoE) team, based out of Gurugram office, and specifically support BAIN ENR practice on live cases, client development and proposal support. The ENR CoE consists of 45+ team members, organized into ~10 teams, working across various sectors such as oil and gas, power and utilities, chemicals, mining, fertilizers and agri-business
As the ENR sector personnel, you will get exposed to case delivery and client development activities for our clients in Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Wastewater Recycling, etc. The primarily objective of the sector professionals is to collaborate with practice/ case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical products and topic expertise to answer strategic questions of Bain’s ENR clients.
An Associate works as a team member/contributor on BCN cases, driving the analysis on complex cases with some direction from a Project Leader and occasionally leading simple cases independently. In addition, Associates help mentor and coach Analysts by providing regular guidance / feedback. The expectation is to eventually provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team meetings.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Candidate should be experienced in collaborating with data scientists to design, fine-tune, and deploy end-to-end Generative AI applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, Agents, MCP, and frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
- Develop backend services and APIs using FastAPI, ensuring scalable and secure AI model integration.
- Work with relational databases like SQL Server and Snowflake, and deploy solutions in Azure or AWS using Docker.
- Contribute to frontend development using React, Vue, or similar frameworks to create seamless AI-powered user experiences.
- Collaborate with domain experts in the Energy & Natural Resources sector to ensure AI solutions align with industry needs.
ABOUT YOU:
- Relevant experience of 2-5 years for undergraduates and 0-3 years for postgraduates from a top-tier college in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Should have proven experience in building end-to-end AI based solutions with expertise in LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, MCP, and integration of AI models with external and internal data sources to create robust, context-aware solutions.
- Proficiency in Python with familiarity to libraries and frameworks like Pandas, NumPy, LangChain, LlamaIndex with backend development experience using FastAPI. Frontend skills in React, Vue, or similar frameworks is a plus.
- Should have hands-on experience with relational databases like SQL Server, Snowflake, and good understanding of creating Docker containers to deploy tools in cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
- Strong programming skills with ability to write reusable and maintainable code, as well as troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues promptly.
