Shigeki Ichii is a member of the firm's Technology and Media practices and has extensive experience in Corporate Finance and Transformation.
Shigeki has over 20 years of global strategic consulting experience. He advises clients across multiple industry sectors on portfolio optimization, corporate development, M&A, business model innovation, marketing, salesforce effectiveness and digital marketing.
His perspectives on corporate finance strategy have been published in the Harvard Business Review ("How Companies Can Use Investors To Their Advantage," May 2018).
Prior to joining Bain in 2016, Shigeki served as head of the technology and media practice within another global consulting firm's Tokyo office. He also led its emerging market strategy practice in APAC. Earlier in his career, he managed overseas investments and subsidiaries in the media, satellite and telecom industry at Mitsubishi Corporation.
Shigeki earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and graduated with a bachelor's degree in law from Hitotsubashi University.
