Waqar Alam

Waqar Alam is an expert in the firm’s Financial Services, Enterprise Technology and Performance Improvement practices.

Since joining Bain in 2009, Waqar has advised clients on a wide array of financial services topics, including asset and wealth management, retail brokerage and banking, as well as wealth, property, casualty and life insurance.

He is deeply versed in such capabilities as performance improvement, organization, zero-based budgeting (ZBB), in addition to global growth, business unit and corporate strategy.

During his tenure at Bain, Waqar has also advised clients across the private equity and social impact spheres.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD, as well as both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University.
