We invite curious, motivated undergraduate and graduate students in their second year or beyond to join our case study workshop. Work with a diverse team, experience consulting firsthand, and see if this path is right for you.
Prepare for your future
This weekend, October 22–24, 2026, is designed to help you understand what a future in consulting could look like. You will work on real-world business challenges in small teams, learn structured approaches to problem-solving, connect with Bain consultants and peers from across Europe and the Middle East, and build new skills in a collaborative and supportive environment, with guidance along the way.
Alongside the workshop, you’ll join informal dinners and social activities, giving you the chance to get to know others and experience the host city. If you’re curious about consulting, Bainworks offers a practical introduction.

How to apply for this program
We welcome undergraduate and graduate students from across Europe and the Middle East, from all academic backgrounds. Whether you study business, engineering, technology, or another field, you’re encouraged to apply if you enjoy problem-solving and working with others, are interested in creating meaningful impact, and are open to learning and trying new approaches.
We consider a range of factors, including academic performance, analytical thinking, and your motivation to learn. There is no single profile for success at Bain. You don’t need prior consulting experience, this program is designed to help you learn.

In what language will the event be held?
The event will be held in English to bring together participants from different countries and backgrounds.

Which country should I apply to?
Please apply to one of the participating offices (Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lisbon, Madrid, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich, Doha, Dubai, Riyadh) and submit one application.
Some offices may require proficiency in the local language:
- France: Fluency in French & English (level C1 for both)
- Netherlands: Dutch
- Poland: English & one Central & Eastern European language languages is required
- Spain: Spanish

Do I need a background in consulting or business to apply?
No. Bainworks is designed for students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. You’ll receive guidance and support throughout the workshop.

I have a tech/engineering background — is this for me?
Yes. Many participants come from STEM backgrounds. If you enjoy solving problems and working in teams, this program could be a strong fit.

If I’m a CEMS student, can I also apply?
CEMS students starting their CEMS MIM in fall 2027 in one of the countries listed above are welcome to apply.

What costs will I incur by participating?
Bain covers all costs associated with the event.

Will I receive feedback during the event?
Yes. You’ll receive feedback from your team leaders to support your learning and development. Please note: we’re not able to provide feedback on applications if you are not selected.
