The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.

About M&A CoE

  • M&A Center of Excellence (CoE) at BCN is a new CoE being established to support Bain’s capabilities for M&A And Divestitures practice
  • Bain’s M&A CoE offerings will include offerings across Growth and M&A Strategy, Deal Sourcing and Screening, Corporate Due Diligence (Integration thesis and Synergies modules) , Merger Integration, Divestiture and Separation. The CoE will play a crucial role in improving and further differentiating Bain’s approach across these offerings. 
  • The M&A CoE will actively support Bain Partners/ Global Case teams across and Client Cases/ Client development efforts
  • Additionally, the CoE will also work closely with M&A and Divestitures practice/solution leadership in building new IP/ Products/ Tools etc.
  • CoE scope and scale is expected to evolve over time to more deeper domain expertise, broader scope and end-to-end offerings. Plan is to also expand the CoE to BCN Mexico in future.

 

About You

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong academic background
  • 2-4 years of prior domain experience/ relevant expertise e,g. Synergy analysis (and/or cost diagnostics), Due Diligence (M&A or Private Equity), Merger Integration, Divestiture strategy, etc
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability of leveraging/ embracing automation / AI to drive efficiency across products/ offerings.
  • High-level competence in core analytical tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on skills in research and analytics are required, along with significant exposure to key secondary data sources. A robust consulting and problem-solving skill set tied with a background in marketing analytics is also necessary
  • Fundamental skills include excellent work planning, communication, and team leading abilities. Relevant experience with data analytics, project and team management, coaching, and mentoring is also required


What You’ll Do

  • Works under the guidance of the Project Leader / Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer, final materials, client communication, work planning. Brainstorming with the supervisor on various aspects for IP development, CD, case work as needed
  • Ensure timely, high quality, error-free research, analysis and output. Drive insights through data analysis – Story-lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses
  • Works with project/case teams across geographies and industries; however, they focus almost exclusively M&A related projects/ cases
  • Have structured communication skills and a willingness to learn the consulting toolkit to be able to translate analytical insights into business impacts
  • Brings to the table various cutting-edge technologies and best practices in a productized delivery model; adoption of AI/ agentic tools for driving efficiency
  • Communicate effectively and clearly explain insights and implications for the client
  • Openness to transfer to Mexico / help set-up M&A in Mexico will be an added advantage
