Annie Medaglia is a member of our Sustainability & Responsibility practice.
Her consulting expertise spans sustainability & responsibility, strategy & organizational transformations, international market expansion & policy, and innovation & entrepreneurship. Within her broader career, she has worked across 40+ countries and has been a member of our Washington, D.C. and Mexico City offices.
As a leader within our Sustainability & Responsibility practice, she worked with an array of our clients more broadly on their ESG ambitions and strategies, including with a particular expertise on climate and biodiversity and financial and investor considerations. Operationally, Annie previously led and rapidly scaled Bain's global Sustainability & Responsibility practice.
In addition to serving our clients, Annie leads our engagement with the Business Roundtable and is a senior leader in our Washington, D.C. Social Impact efforts.
Prior to Bain, she served in the foreign policy arena at the US Department of State, US Senate, and the Atlantic Council. At the State Department, she served as Presidential Management Fellow and Senior Advisor across a range of political and economic portfolios spanning Europe and the Middle East. As Deputy Director, she founded the Global Energy Center for the Atlantic Council, a leading foreign policy think tank. While a fellow in the US Senate, she served across energy and national security topics.
In her free time, Annie is a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member and Co-Founder and Chairwoman of DreamWakers, a US national nonprofit that aspires to close the opportunity gap by connecting classrooms to careers.
Annie is a graduate of the University of Virginia, from which she holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master in Public Policy (MPP), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in both Foreign Policy and Spanish.
