Syed Ali

Syed Ali is an expert of our Enterprise Technology, Private Equity (PE), and Telecommuncations, Media, and Technology (TMT) practices. He is also the co-head of our global cybersecurity advisory services.

Syed has 27 years of experience in management and technology consulting, including 15 years with us.

Syed's cybersecurity expertise covers three areas.  First, he supports the development of cybersecurity product and services strategies for leading B2B vendors with specifics on where-to-play and how-to-win, including go-to-market, M&A and execution planning.  Second, he is involved in commercial due diligences on hundreds of cybersecurity companies with a focus on product functionality and service capability analysis for top-tier and other prominent PE firms, institutional investors, and strategic buyers.  These diligences resulted in more than $65B in deals (acquisitions, investment rounds and mergers).  Third, he helps perform cybersecurity maturity assessments and strategic planning at large enterprises for BoD, C-suite, CISO and CIO stakeholders in the healthcare, TMT, retail, FS and energy industries.   

Additionally, Syed has experience in Agile transformation (particularly DevOps and DevSecOps), digital strategy, cloud migration and on-premise infrastructure optimization, enterprise architecture, and application development.

Prior to joining us, he was a principal for another top consulting firm.

Syed holds an M.S. in Information Technology from Northwestern University and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University.
