Last year, management consulting firm Bain & Company did an analysis for Commit on the teacher pipeline in the Dallas area, including a survey of 2,262 teachers.

What Bain's research found was while the need for teachers in the Dallas area is increasing, because of rising teacher turnover, the number high school and college students interested in teaching is falling.
