Bain & Company named one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women

LONDON – April 29, 2021 – Bain & Company is featured on The Times list of Top 50 Employers for Women in the UK, in partnership with Business in the Community. Experts recognised Bain & Company for its progressive workplace programmes, dedication to achieve diversity at all levels of the organisation and generous parental leave policies.

"We are proud to be recognised by The Times and Business in the Community as a top employer for women,” said James Hadley, Bain & Company’s UK Managing Partner. “We are committed to redefining the consulting industry and we will continue to invest in our greatest asset, which is our people. Our recruitment programmes, equal parental leave policy, flexibility options and overall culture of support are key components to that.”

Bain & Company is an industry leader in the UK in offering equal paid parental leave. New parents – regardless of gender – are eligible to receive up to 52 weeks of leave with the first 29 weeks fully paid. Bain & Company is committed to recruiting at parity and to retaining and promoting women at the same level as men. In 2018 Bain & Company launched the  True North Scholarship for Women to support exceptional female students and encourage them to enter management consulting, an industry where women are traditionally underrepresented.

“Diversity is imperative to our success and gender equality is a key pillar of that,” said Sinead Fox, a partner at Bain & Company and lead for the ‘Women at Bain’ community in the London office. “We are committed to supporting our female talent and ensuring we have the right foundation to allow a broad set of diverse and exceptional people to thrive at Bain.”

Diversity, equity and inclusion is a strategic priority for Bain & Company, which relies on extraordinary teams that deliver unparalleled results for our clients. Bain & Company does this by assembling the most diverse set of experiences, backgrounds, strengths and perspectives and bringing this diversity to help our clients address their most important business challenges.

The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is the UK’s most highly profiled and well-established listing of employers striving for gender equality in the workplace. Run by the charity Business in the Community – The Prince’s Responsible Business Network – for more than a decade, the incredibly competitive process identifies companies which make gender equality part of their business strategy and are trying to bring it to life at all levels of the organisation.

Applicants are assessed on a range of areas, including their approach to recruitment, family friendly policies and how they have championed gender equality in the context of the pandemic. The complete list of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2021 can be found here.
