The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN is an integral and largest unit of (ECD) Expert Client Delivery. ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutioning across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Act as a senior member of the BCN India finance team, responsible for advanced workforce analytics, business
intelligence, reporting, and decision-support for senior leadership. The role partners closely with ECD, HR and Office
Leadership to translate workforce capacity, and utilization data into high-quality dashboards, insights, and management
reporting, enabling effective decision making.
Advanced Analytics, Reporting & Insights
/ Lead advanced analytics and reporting on workforce capacity, chargeability, utilization, productivity, and
deployment trends
/ Design and deliver executive-grade dashboards and self-service BI solutions (Tableau / Power BI) with a strong
emphasis on usability and insight
/ Develop analytical frameworks to answer complex, ambiguous leadership questions related to workforce efficiency
and capacity optimization
/ Lead data consolidation, transformation, and quality checks across staffing, HR, and finance data sources
/ Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, scenario analysis, and deep dives to identify drivers, risks, and
opportunities
/ Translate ambiguous leadership questions into clear analytical frameworks, metrics, and visual stories
/ Produce recurring (monthly) and ad-hoc analytics for senior leadership with a strong focus on decision usefulness
Data Modeling and Validation
/ Lead data modeling, transformation, and validation across workforce, HR, and finance datasets
/ Define metrics, KPIs, and calculation logic to ensure consistent, scalable, and decision-relevant reporting
/ Partner with local HR/PD to align data for performance, promotion, and review
Surveys & Case team experience Analytics
/ Own analytics and dashboards for customer scorecard, and case team surveys
/ Perform trend analysis and deep dives to identify drivers and improvement areas (not just reporting)
Process Improvement & Projects
/ Lead analytics-driven process improvement initiatives related to capacity optimization, utilization, and visibility
/ Support regional/global capacity analytics initiatives as and when required
Team Leadership
/ Coach and mentor junior analysts on analytics best practices, storytelling, and executive communication
/ Review analytical outputs for quality, accuracy, and insight depth
/ Support capability building through feedback and structured development planning
ABOUT YOU
/MBA/PG degree with 7-8 years of work experience in Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data Analytics roles
/Proficiency in Excel, and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau)
/Strong experience in dashboard design, metric definition, and executive reporting
/Experience working with large, messy, multi-source datasets
/Experience with Python/R for data analysis and visualization preferred.
/Prior exposure to workforce analytics, or professional services environments is a plus
/Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
/Excellent communication and storytelling ability
/Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
/Excellent customer-facing communicator
/Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
