More than 70% of European physicians say pharma and medtech companies do not fulfill their expectations for providing unbiased scientific information about their products, and few expect the companies to improve, according to a recent Bain & Company survey. High-quality data plays a critical role helping physicians make treatment decisions. When deciding which drug to prescribe, they rank safety, real-world evidence and clinical outcomes as the most important criteria. Overall, doctors are dissatisfied with all sources of information, including that from universities, patient organizations and payers.
