Share your journey to Bain.

Joining Bain feels less like a career change and more like a natural next chapter. I spent years at Gartner running Magic Quadrant and Critical Capabilities research across the enterprise technology markets, cloud, AI, data, and cybersecurity, that Bain’s ET practice advises on every day. What drew me to Bain was the opportunity to move from producing research for external technology buyers to applying that expertise directly to the strategic decisions global clients are actively navigating. The interview process was one of the most thoughtful I have been through, every conversation felt like a genuine two-way exchange rather than an evaluation, and the people I met made it clear this was a place where curiosity and craft are genuinely valued. I am excited to be part of the Enterprise Technology practice and to help make the knowledge behind Bain’s advice compound over time.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

Bain felt like the natural next chapter because it offered something I was increasingly looking for: the opportunity to bring research and knowledge closer to the point where decisions are actually made. What particularly attracted me was the combination of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and a strong bias toward impact, an environment where knowledge is not simply created but actively used to help teams and clients navigate important questions.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

I can already see the potential to make an impact by helping turn Bain’s collective knowledge into something teams can discover, understand, and apply when they need it most. In the Enterprise Technology practice, I’m excited by the opportunity to curate and codify knowledge across architecture and ERP platforms, connect teams with relevant expertise, and ultimately help colleagues walk into client conversations better prepared.

I’m particularly energized by the intersection of AI and knowledge management. As AI changes how we search, synthesize, and interact with information, there is an exciting opportunity to rethink how institutional knowledge becomes more accessible and reusable, and to explore how these tools can augment the judgment and expertise of our people.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

I’m still at the beginning of building my own Bain, and that is precisely what makes this moment exciting. For me, it means bringing the experiences I have accumulated across data, market intelligence, emerging technology, and process improvement into Bain, while remaining open to the people, problems, and opportunities that will shape where my career goes next.

I want to build a career that sits at the intersection of technology, knowledge, and people, contributing my expertise while continuously developing new capabilities and learning from colleagues across the firm. The freedom to shape that journey, rather than follow a predetermined path, is what makes the idea of building my own Bain meaningful to me.

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

My favorite part so far has been less about a single finished project and more about discovering the breadth of knowledge and expertise that exists across the firm. Beginning to work with the Enterprise Technology knowledge ecosystem, and seeing how frameworks, previous case experience, expert perspectives, and emerging AI tools can come together to support teams, has reinforced why I wanted to be here.

The contribution I’m most energized by is when something I have curated, connected, or helped create enables a team to ask a better question, find an answer faster, or enter an important client conversation with greater confidence. For me, that is the kind of behind-the-scenes contribution that can ultimately create very visible impact.
