Dean Wang

Dr Dean Wang is a member of our AI, Insights and Solutions practice. He is an AI and data science expert with over 15 years of experience spanning consulting, technology, and product innovation.

He focuses on helping organizations harness AI and advanced analytics to drive business transformation, combining technical expertise with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach. He works with C-suite executives across industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and technology, to design and deploy AI solutions, build enterprise AI capabilities, and embed data-driven decision-making into core business processes. His experience includes shaping AI strategies and roadmaps, leading large-scale AI enablement programs, and delivering end-to-end machine learning and generative AI solutions.

Before joining Bain, he worked at SAP, where he contributed to developing analytics platforms used by the German national football team during their 2014 FIFA World Cup–winning campaign. He has also held leadership roles at DataRobot, Google, and a global consulting firm (QuantumBlack). He is passionate about AI evangelism and talent development and serves as an advisor, lecturer, and speaker on applying AI in business contexts.

Dean holds a PhD in operations research from Nanyang Technological University.
