Michiel is a member of the firm's Consumer Products practice.
Since joining Bain in 2012, Michiel has built deep expertise in the consumer products industry. His work takes a particular focus on the food & beverage (including dairy) and consumer health sectors, serving both corporate and private equity clients (primarily in Europe and the United States).
Michiel has a passion for branded products and to deliver insight-driven, sustainable results, together with his joint Bain and client teams. He has specific expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, brand strategy, commercial excellence, M&A (screening, commercial due diligence, merger integration) and performance improvement.
Before joining Bain, Michiel worked in logistics & operations management and financial risk management using quantitative methods. He published several scientific articles around those subjects.
Michiel earned his BSc and MSc in econometrics and his MSc in operations research from the University of Amsterdam (summa cum laude).
