WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Data Science & Machine Learning Engineering experts within the AI, Insights & Solutions team. This team is part of Bain’s digital capabilities practice, which includes experts in analytics, engineering, product management, and design. In this multidisciplinary environment, you'll leverage deep technical expertise with business acumen to help clients tackle their most transformative challenges. You’ll work on integrated teams alongside our general consultants and clients to develop data-driven strategies and innovative solutions. Together, we create human-centric solutions that harness the power of data and artificial intelligence to drive competitive advantage for our clients. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a member of the growing Data Science team in Bain’s Insight, AI & Solutions, you will:
- Work with consulting teams and clients to understand business problems, translate them into data scienceprojectsand appropriately prioritize and execute
- Develop and/or implement tools for data acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex data sets
- Develop, prototype, test, and deploy machine learning solutions on wide ranging types of data sets, ranging from a few data points to billions
- Ensure standards and guidelines are being used by team to develop re-usable common frameworks, model and components that address repeatable tasks and problem/data sets in specific industries or business functions
- Keep abreast of new and current data science techniques and technologies
- Travel isrequired(~3 days every other week)
- This position will belocatedeither in Munich or Berlin
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who has:
- AdvancedDegree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Information Sciences such as business analytics or informaticsor Relevant Undergraduate Degree with 2+ years ofadvancedanalytics/data scienceexperience
- PhDit’sa plus
- Strong foundationin mathematics and statistics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss mathematical and machine learning technicalities with colleagues and clients from other disciplines
- Demonstrated interest in ML/AI/Data Science such as independent projects shared with community (via GitHub etc.) and/or contributions to open-source initiatives
- Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning machine learning algorithms such as classifiers, cluster analysis, dimension reduction, regression,etc.
- Proficiencyin Pythonrequired
- Experience with Containers,Dockerand Git
- Experience in machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g.scikit-learn,mlr, caret, H2O, TensorFlow,MXNet,Pytorch, Caffe/Caffe2, CNTK,MLlib) required
- English and Korean as working language
