Bhargav Shankar

Bhargav Shankar is a member of our Merger & Acquisitions practice, with strong experience in our Divestitures solution. He is also a member of our Consumer Products and Media & Entertainment practices.

Bhargav has 10+ years of corporate strategy and M&A experience supporting fortune 50 companies across retail, consumer products and manufacturing sectors with a focus on post-merger integration and operational separation activities. Within the M&A and divestitures space, Bhargav possesses deep functional expertise in Finance & Accounting and IT.

More recently, he has advised clients across a range of performance improvement topics, including working capital efficiency, operating model optimization and procurement strategy.

Prior to joining Bain in 2022, Bhargav spent 5 years at another top-tier management consulting firm in their M&A and strategy practice.

He holds an MBA from Georgetown University, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australia National University.

Bhargav lives in the Chicago neighborhood of Logan Square with his wife, Anitha.
