Head of our Global Agribusiness practice
Dalton Maine is the head of our global Agribusiness practice. He also previously served as the Americas leader for the Energy & Natural Resources practice. Over his 25-year tenure at Bain, he has held multiple client-facing and internal governance leadership roles.
Dalton has worked globally with leading companies across the agriculture, food, and biofuels value chains. His experience spans crop inputs, agribusiness technology and machinery, large-scale crop production, agribusiness retail operations, grain merchandising and trading, and food, feed, and fuel conversion. He also focuses on food, fuel, and sustainability topics across the broader energy, natural resources, and consumer products landscape. He advises clients on growth strategy, performance improvement, organizational efficiency, and M&A support, with a particular focus on driving transformative, lasting change to their competitive position.
Prior to joining us, Dalton was a contract specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense and spent several years as a player and coach in the Baltimore Orioles' minor league baseball system.
He earned an MBA with distinction from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in business administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond, where he received the Clarence J. Grey Award.
