WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join FRWD, Bain & Company’s marketing acceleration capability and an expert community within Bain’s Marketing Excellence practice. FRWD is a ~100-person community of seasoned marketing practitioners who partner closely with Bain case teams, clients, and agencies to drive meaningful business results and transformation.
FRWD team members bring deep, real-world expertise from leading in-house marketing teams, agencies, and technology platforms. We focus on delivering actionable insights with a passion for results — defining not only what to do and why, but also how, grounded in real marketplace experience. FRWD works across industries and in both B2C and B2B environments.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Expert Consultant in FRWD, you are a seasoned marketing practitioner and emerging expert who drives key workstreams within integrated Bain case teams. You’ll work hand-in-hand with generalist consultants, client teams, and cross-functional experts across Bain’s ecosystem. In this role, you’ll leverage in-platform experience, data, and analysis to generate insights, connect marketing outcomes to broader business goals, and contribute directly to overall case results.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Problem Solving & Case Delivery
- Drive key workstreams (with support from leadership) to deliver results that meet client expectations and build strong client advocacy
- Partner with generalist Bain consultants in blended, integrated case teams
- Demonstrate deep expertise in specific marketing domains (e.g., industries, channels, platforms, products, or tools)
- Lead analyses and consistently deliver high-quality, error-free outputs and materials
- Leverage hands-on, in-platform experience (e.g., digital advertising, e-commerce) to gather data, generate insights, and design testing plans
- Stay at the forefront of marketing technology and tools, including GenAI, attribution and measurement, and MarTech/AdTech
Client Communication & Results
- Build trusted relationships with clients and agencies through strong expertise and interpersonal skills
- Communicate clearly and consistently with teams and clients to share insights and align on workplans
- Translate specialized marketing insights into actionable strategic recommendations that drive measurable business impact
Extraordinary Teaming
- Contribute positively to day-to-day case work with a consistently at-cause mindset
- Actively seek, receive, and act on feedback from peers and leaders
- Share expertise and best practices across FRWD and the broader Bain ecosystem
- Mentor and guide more junior team members when applicable
- Contribute to FRWD strategy and operations, including internal initiatives and recruiting efforts
ABOUT YOU
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Graduate or advanced degrees welcome but not required
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in marketing roles (e.g., agency, brand, in-house, or technology platform)
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong and consistent career trajectory
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience contributing to high-performing, cross-functional teams
- Ability to break down complex problems using a hypothesis-driven approach
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more marketing domains, recognized by peers and leaders
- Strong expertise in the digital media landscape, including partners, platforms, and industry best practices
- Excellent planning, organization, and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, at-cause attitude
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Deeper expertise in one or more FRWD growth areas, such as:
- E-commerce and retail media
- Marketing measurement and analytics
- Marketing technology
- GenAI in marketing (e.g., agentic search)
- B2B marketing
- Client services experience (consulting, agency, or similar environments)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, The Trade Desk Trading Academy, Adobe Marketing Platform)
