About Jason

Jason Kelvin is a member of our Financial Services practice, with more than 20 years of experience as both a trusted advisor and senior operator working with clients across insurance, banking, and wealth and asset management. He has led large-scale transformations spanning growth, cost, customer experience and strategy, including directing the full-potential transformation that helped take a life insurer and wealth and asset manager from sixth to the most valuable publicly traded player in its North American peer group. His work has also included spearheading cost-reduction programs of more than $1 billion, driving customer-loyalty gains of nearly 30 NPS points, and shaping enterprise and M&A strategy for several leading public and private financial institutions. More recently, he has helped clients deploy AI solutions to accelerate customer growth and improve advisor productivity.

Before joining Bain, Jason spent nearly a decade leading enterprise strategy and the Transformation Office at a Fortune Global 200 insurer, ultimately serving as Chief Strategy Officer through the company’s most significant era of value creation. He also brings direct P&L leadership experience, having doubled the earnings profile of a $500 billion asset management business. Earlier in his career, he advised financial institutions and consumer companies on customer-led transformations. He has lived and worked across the United States, Europe, Canada, South America and throughout Asia.

Jason holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and dual Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Queen’s University. He is an avid skier and tennis player and is married with two sons.
