Bain & Company Partner Liam Connolly says the Australian government’s intervention in the gas industry using price caps “provides an opportunity” for investors.

“We see M&A activity in the energy transition as actually a long-term fundamental play and so the underlying drivers that support investment in the sector are driven by the investment required by the infrastructure in services and in technology,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
